The Writers’ Museum

The Writers’ Museum is home to the City of Edinburgh’s literary collections. The museum is located in Lady Stair’s House dates from 1622 and is one of the oldest buildings in this part of the Old Town. Burns himself would have seen the building when he stayed in neighbouring Baxter’s Close on his first sojourn in Edinburgh in the year 1786.
